Hagevatron The Israeli Kibbutz Folk Singers - 50 Years Of Singing (1948-1998)
Gevatron's story, beginning during the War of Independence and continues to this day: fifty years of Hebrew songs - songs of good and beautiful Israel, all the way; fifty years!!!
Gevatron founders generation that in addition to their work in the field, cowshed and other industries, have spent much of their free time for rehearsals and performances. It was a period of Genesis "of Gevatron spread on about 13 years.
This period ended in 1961 with the the joining of Nahum Heiman became the musical director of the group.
"Nachtshe" was a member of Kibbutz Beit Alfa. He Made a match between Gevatron and Gilboa Quintet, joined together for performances and recordings.
After the retirement of Nachtshe in 1968 began working with the band Dov (Dubi) Carmel from Kibbutz Dahlia. Working with Dubi brought increase the musical level and quality of performance. During this period, after the Six Day War Gevatron began his long Relationship with the IDF volunteer tour military bases and remote outposts.
After three years of working together, Dov Carmel separate from the Gevatron. He was replaced by the talented composer Haim Agmon, who brought a new spirit. The songs "My Valley" and "Yam Hashibolim" composed by him have become hits and are considered classics today leaders of Israel Gevatron and beautiful songs ever.
Here came the years of Zvika Casspi, who donated the very real contribution to the success of Gevatron, and was the most important factor Gevatron pushing the to its popularity which peaked with the songs "Bat Shishim" and two albums in Hebrew Russian songs "on the road" and "Rahok Rahok." During the period of financial Zvika Gevatron recorded nine albums with three of them came to be silver discs, four gold records and two platinum record.
During Zvika Casspi time the Gevatron had many performances in Israel and abroad.
1990: Ilan Gilboa is the new music director and processor.
